An Ahmedabad resident was nabbed in Junagadh for cheating people by posing as a DySP. He has reportedly conned several people to the tune of Rs2.11 crore by promising them jobs in the police department.
The accused has been identified as Vinit Dave, 37, who previously worked as a driver at the Junagadh family court but was relieved from work due to his poor attendance record. Vinit later created a false identity as a high-profile police officer and even had a fake identity card as a DySP. He used a false identity to con needy youths by promising them jobs in the police department for money.
Vinit was nabbed by the Junagadh’s A Division police after they got a tip-off about a youth posing as a fake police officer near the city’s MG Road.
