The Gujarat board textbooks of 6 classes from class 1 to 12 will undergo changes
From the upcoming academic year. Specifically, a new chapter focusing on road safety will be incorporated into the social science textbook for class 10. The Gujarati language textbook for class 12 will also include this new chapter. Textbooks for various subjects in classes 5 to 8 are slated for revisions. At present, the Textbook Board is engaged in preparing all the new textbooks, and the printing of these educational materials is set to commence shortly.
The government introduces new chapters into school textbooks to ensure that children stay updated with the changing times, facilitating their acquisition of knowledge in emerging subjects. Considering the prevailing trends in subjects like road safety and organic farming, these topics are gradually finding their place in the curriculum. Moreover, chapters related to new subjects introduced under the new education policy will be included in the upcoming textbooks.
