Five Ahmedabad-Chennai and Ahmedabad-Hyderabad flights were canceled on Monday due to Cyclone Michaung in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. More than 14 flights from Ahmedabad were delayed by 30 minutes to 5 hours.
The flights were cancelled after the Chennai airport runway, apron and parking bay area got flooded due to incessant rains caused by the advance of Cyclone Michaung in the Indian Ocean.
Four flights to Chennai and one to Hyderabad were canceled from Ahmedabad on Monday. Ten Indigo and 4 Spice Jet flights were delayed. Passengers had to face a lot of trouble as the schedule of such a large number of flights was disrupted at once.
