In an effort to alleviate traffic congestion and adhere to the Central Government’s Street Vendor Policy 2016, the Amdavad Municipal Corporation is taking steps to establish vegetable markets in 13 locations across seven zones, including Chandlodia, Kalupur, and Jodhpur.
A tender will be issued to facilitate the creation and subsequent upkeep of these markets, aimed at curbing traffic issues caused by vegetable sellers operating on public roads. The move also seeks to address illegal vending pressures in local areas, ensuring open public roads and affordable vegetable prices for residents.
