A man stole a phone worth Rs 80,000 from a store at a mall in the Thaltej between November 7 and November 15. Saumil Mehta, 42, a resident of Bapunagar, said in his FIR that he works as an assistant manager with Reliance Digital showroom located on the third floor of the Palladium Mall in Thaltej. Mehta said 35 employees worked at the store. They count all the devices every day. On November 7, Mehta and others counted the stock in showroom.
On November 15 they counted the stock again and found that one iPhone worth Rs 80,000 was missing. They checked the CCTV footage and found that a masked man entered the showroom and stole the phone kept in the demonstration area. A complaint of theft has been filed with the Vastrapur police. This is the second case of theft in the same mall within a week.
