A live caterpillar was found in a burger at Real Paprika Pizza Center near Manki Circle in the New Ranip area on Tuesday. Similarly, an insect was also found in the food served at a restaurant in Vastral called British Pizza.
The people who found the insect recorded a video of the live caterpillar, which subsequently went viral on social media, and the incident was also reported to the food department of the Amdavad municipal corporation.
The food department team of the AMC has imposed fines ranging from 10,000 to 15,000 and considered it an appropriate course of action.
