The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is prepared to release a final batch of tickets, which will go up for online sale on Thursday, November 9, as the ongoing World Cup 2023 approaches its conclusion. The semi-finals between Mumbai and Kolkata and the final between Ahmedabad are scheduled for next week. The BCCI released an official statement outlining how fans can purchase tickets for these matches.
“The tickets for the three marquee games – 1st semi-final (15th November), 2nd semi-final (16th November), and the all-important final on 19th November will go live at 8:00 PM on 9th November on the official ticketing website at https://tickets.cricketworldcup.com.
While Pakistan, New Zealand, and Afghanistan are still fighting for the last spot, teams like India, South Africa, and Australia have already guaranteed their places in the semi-finals. The Blackcaps, who currently have eight points, will play Sri Lanka in a match that they absolutely must win. They are tied for fourth place with teams like Pakistan and Afghanistan despite having a better Net Run Rate (NRR) of +0.398.
Next in line is Pakistan, who has an NRR of +0.036 and is ranked fifth on the points table; however, the Men in Green have an NRR of +0.338, which puts them ahead of Afghanistan.
England is there after Afghanistan; they are formally eliminated from the semifinals, but they can still can campaign in the top seven to take part in the Champions Trophy 2025.
