The Bar Council of Gujarat has decided to suspend Dharmesh Jivanalal Gurjar as an advocate for the six months pending inquiry against him for allegedly tampering with the court records.
Last week, justice Sandip Bhatt has asked the BCG to take appropriate action against Gurjar after going through a preliminary report prepared by the registry confirming that prima facie mischief has been done in preparing cause list to ensure that the lawyer’s case would not be listed in the beginning, and pushed back.
“The matter has been taken up by Suo Motu and the BCG has created a special disciplinary committee to decide the case of Gurjar consisting CK Patel, JB Golwala and Sanjay Trivedi as members.
