Ahmedabad is grappling with a concerning rise in air pollution levels. The city’s air quality index (AQI) continues to escalate, indicating significant pollution.
While industrial areas were once the primary hotspots, now even residential areas such as Bhopal, Satellite, Income Tax Road, Navarangpura, and Naranpura are reporting AQI levels ranging from 190 to 200 (severe).
Environmentalists attribute this surge to the growing number of vehicles in the city and a lack of compliance with construction regulations, leading to increased dust and smoke emissions, further exacerbating the air pollution issue.
