The soon-to-be-launched Ankleshwar Airport in Gujarat is all set to welcome its first flights in February. Featuring a spacious 2200-meter runway, this airport will be capable of accommodating a variety of aircraft, including A-320, Airbus 21, and Boeing 737, ATR planes.
Furthermore, this airport will serve as a standby option when parking slots at Ahmedabad Airport are unavailable, providing a vital backup to air travelers. Gujarat boasts a total of 11 airports besides Ahmedabad, with ongoing airport construction by the Army in Disa and land acquisition work pending in Ambaji and Rajpipla.
