The India Meteorological Department has issued a warning of extremely heavy rainfall in Gujarat.
The weather agency has issued a red alert for the Gujarat region, with extremely heavy rainfall expected, potentially exceeding 8 inches (204mm).
According to the official bulletin, Banaskantha, Patan, Mahesana, Morbi, and Junagadh are likely to experience extremely heavy rainfall today, i.e., on the 18th of September.
Kutch, Surendranagar, Jamnagar, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Gir Somnath, and Sabarkantha are under an orange alert with the possibility of heavy to very heavy rains. However, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Arvalli, Rajkot, Porbandar, and Amreli are expected to receive only heavy rains.
