Eureka Forbes, India’s leading health and hygiene brand, has undertaken a significant initiative to safeguard public health and consumer interests by conducting nationwide raids against counterfeit water purifier dealers, service providers, and manufacturers. The raids were conducted in 10 cities and 30 locations, where hundreds of counterfeit products were seized.
In compliance with an Order received from the Hon’ble Delhi High Court against counterfeiters and infringers, teams of local commissioners and local police played a pivotal role in the seizure of large quantities of spurious products. The operation included a crackdown on dealers, distributors, spurious sellers of filters, candles, and providers of annual maintenance contract services.
The 10 cities targeted in this operation were Delhi, Nagpur, Solapur, Mumbai, Thane, Ahmedabad, Patna, Lucknow, Ghaziabad and Bhubaneshwar. The raid resulted in the successful confiscation of counterfeit “AQUAGUARD”, “AQUASFILTER” and “ACTIVE COPPER” products and related spare parts, including filters, cartridges, consumable kits, and spare parts.
Eureka Forbes, renowned for its commitment to providing genuine and quality products, particularly under its “Aquaguard” brand of water purifiers, considers this operation its most extensive effort to date in combating the sale and use of spurious products and spare parts. The company is dedicated to protecting consumers from sub-standard and potentially harmful implications associated with counterfeit products.
A spokesperson from Eureka Forbes said, “We extend our gratitude to the authorities for their unwavering support and collaboration in this endeavour. Use of fake and spurious products can impact consumer health and we urge all customers to remain vigilant. We encourage customers to check and always buy genuine products and spares and service their Aquaguard water purifiers only through authorized business partners and service technicians.”
