Shweta Sharda was crowned as the LIVA Miss Diva Universe 2023. The event, which took place at The Lalit Mumbai, saw Sonal Kukreja being crowned LIVA Miss Diva Supranational 2023 while Trisha Shetty secured the position of LIVA Miss Diva 2023 Runner-up. The evening was a glittering affair, graced by numerous stars that added a touch of dazzle to the thrilling occasion. Contestants from across the nation competed fiercely for the highly sought-after crown.
While a total of 160 dynamic divas initially made the cut, only the Top 16 managed to progress further in the journey towards the national title. The 11th edition of LIVA Miss Diva 2023 marked a significant milestone in embracing inclusivity, inviting individuals of various relationship statuses and orientations to participate. This groundbreaking step demonstrated the pageant’s commitment to diversity by welcoming married, divorced, pregnant, engaged, widowed, and even trans women to partake in the competition.
The Grand Finale of LIVA Miss Diva 2023 presented a splendid stage for the Top 16 finalists. Following a series of captivating rounds, Shweta Sharda emerged as the victor, earning the privilege of representing India at the 72nd Miss Universe pageant. Sonal Kukreja, who secured the second position and will be India’s representative at the 12th edition of Miss Supranational.
The distinguished panel of judges, including renowned designers Abhishek Sharma and Nikita Mhaisalkar, acclaimed photographer Jatin Kampani, reigning Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu, talented actor Pratik Gandhi, the remarkable Srinidhi Shetty, and the timeless Sangeeta Bijlani, faced the challenging task of selecting the winners.
In a fresh addition to the pageant’s format, LIVA Miss Diva 2023 introduced capes made from LIVA’s Modal fabric for the resort wear round. Collaborating with Lovely Professional University, design students teamed up with each finalist to create capes on the theme “Save the Planet” under the mentorship of the pageant’s resort wear designer Pria Kataaria Puri. The stunning results were showcased by the Top 16 finalists on the grand finale stage.
The final walk of reigning queens Divita Rai and Pragnya Ayyagari marked an emotional moment before they crowned their successors. The gratitude for their splendid reign was expressed with pride. The Top 16 finalists, competing for the prestigious crowns, elegantly walked the ramp in designer gowns curated by Nikita Mhaisalkar.
Mesmerizing performances, including a Kathak Fusion act by Kathak Rockers and a sensational musical performance by the duo Hari and Sukhmani, elevated the entertainment for the evening. The charismatic Pulkit Samrat’s electrifying act was accompanied by appearances from former Divas, such as Miss United Continents 2016 2nd Runner-up Lopamudra Raut, Miss Universe 2020 3rd Runner-up Adline Castelino, and Miss Diva Universe 2019 Vartika Singh. These captivating performances set the stage for the ultimate crowning moment. The show was expertly hosted by Sachin Kumbhar and Supreet Bedi, who skillfully engaged and entertained the audience with their witty banter.
