Priyanka Chopra, who is known for expanding her horizons in various avenues, is believed to have stepped down from the New York-based restaurant partnership. Two years after opening her restaurant Sona in New York, the actress has stepped away from the venture. The restaurant will continue to be handled by its co-founder Maneesh K. Goyal.
Despite staying away from her Indian roots, the actress decided to add the rich flavour of Indian cuisine in America with, Sona, in New York. However, two years later, after the restaurant opened, it is now believed that the actress has stepped away from the partnership. A representative confirmed to People that “Priyanka has stepped away from her partnership at Sona.” The restaurant is now believed to be handled by its co-founder Maneesh K. Goyal.
Maneesh told the leading magazine that Priyanka was the creative force behind the restaurant and told People, “We’re grateful for her partnership and support. While she will no longer be involved as a creative partner moving forward, she remains in the Sona family and we are excited about our respective new chapters ahead.”
Further, the representative said in a statement, “Bringing Sona to life will invariably be a proud and significant moment in her career. Stepping away from Sona allows her to broaden these ambitions globally, and she’s excited about the possibilities that await.”
