Traffic police get raincoats in monsoon season, jackets or sweaters in winters but in summers there is a problem in extreme heat, now an effort has been made to find a solution to this problem. Currently, it has been decided to start a facility for the traffic police in city in which they will get relief from heat and pollution. Ahmedabad Traffic police are now seen wearing a special white helmet that looks different and is connected to another device.
The helmet is battery operated and the fan installed in it blows air like AC, The wire of this battery is connected to the helmet and the battery is contained in a cover which is worn on the policeman’s waist. The battery backup of this helmet is also very good, its battery lasts for several hours after charging.
This type of helmet will not only keep the traffic police cool but also protect the eyes and nose. The helmet can cover the face up to the nose. At present only three helmets have been taken on an initial basis and how successful they are will determine the further course of action. At present, these helmets have been given to one policeman on four roads in Ahmedabad, Nana Chiloda, Pirana Cross Road and Thakkarnagar.
