The Gujarat government launched Start-up Srujan Seed Support a flagship initiative by its start-up and innovation centre i-Hub, under which a grant of Rs 13 crore will be provided to 150 technology start-ups and 24 educational institutions.
The fund will be offered to the institutes to extend support and help them avail further financial assistance (between Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh) to refine their innovation.
Under the Start-up Srujan Seed Support, 365 applications were received this year in the second cohort from innovators and start-ups across the state, stated i-Hub. After screening, i-Hub sanctioned a grant of Rs 7 crore to 150 technology start-ups and Rs 6 crore to 24 university incubation centres. Among the chosen 150, there are 46 innovators, 104 registered companies and 92 start-ups.
