A family from Ahmedabad is set to embark on a road journey in a 73-year-old vintage MG car. The vintage beauty has been named by the family as “Lal Pari” As a part of their dream journey, they will be covering 16 countries and covering 12,000 kilometers.
The expedition will start next week from Ahmedabad with a visit to the Statue of Unity, the world’s tallest statue, and then move to Mumbai to ship to Dubai. They will take a detour from the actual route due to restrictions in Pakistan and Afghanistan and head to Iran.
Daman Thakore is leading the team, Three generations of the family come together for a three-month road journey to the United Kingdom.
Daman Thakore, along with his father Deval Thakore, and his daughter, Devanshi Thakore will be travelling together. Documentary and architectural photographer and filmmaker Vinay Panjwani and vintage car expert Mukesh Bararia will also keep them company.
