The State GST Department has raided 31 places of private coaching classes
in Gujarat who did not pay taxes despite providing services. In which benami transactions of 20 crore rupees have been found. Fee amount of students is hidden by this coaching class. Taxes were not paid by taking fees from students in cash. The GST department has conducted raids at a total of 31 locations, including 4 in Ahmedabad, 24 in Surat, 1 in Vadodara and 2 in Rajkot.
State GST department has conducted research on the basis of market intelligence and system based analysis. As part of which the GST department noticed that the operators of computer coaching classes were not doing GST compliance properly.
