A Class 12 Student from Ahmedabad has cleared the Association of Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA), which is equivalent to chartered accountancy in India.
Dishaan Urvish Shah (17) had been preparing for the exam from Class 9. He had also scored second rank in India and ninth rank at a global level in a paper of advanced taxation of professional level of ACCA.
ACCA is a valid Chartered Accountancy test in 190 countries, including India.
After completing nine papers of ACCA , a student can opt for BSc in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, London (as they have a tie up with ACCA). This requires further formalities such as completion of the ethics module and submission of a research report to get a bachelor’s award.
