A part of a building has collapsed in Gomtipur area of Ahmedabad. This incident happened around friday morning. More than 26 people trapped in it have been evacuated safely.
As soon as the incident was reported, the rescue team of Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) reached the spot. All the trapped people were safely evacuated by the rescue team. Fortunately, there was no loss of life in this incident
The building is 70 years old and very dilapidated. The place where this building collapsed is the C block of the building and 32 families were living in it
A similar incident also took place in the slum quarters in Maninagar yesterday. Part of two balconies in the slum quarters collapsed. Around 30 people were also trapped in this incident. All these were rescued.
