The Gujarat government has declared municipal corporations for five more cities in the cabinet meeting.
The government declared that Navsari, Gandhidham, Surendranagar, Vapi, and Morbi municipalities would be upgraded and converted into Municipal Corporations.
The number of municipal corporations in the state has been raised to 13, which was eight before the upgrade.
The eight municipal corporations include Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Junagadh, and Gandhinagar. Now five more cities will be added to the list.
