Due to lack of aircraft and crew, the passengers are getting annoyed with the cancellation of Air India flights anytime. Even on Friday, Air India’s Mumbai-bound flight from Ahmedabad airport was grounded due to a technical fault before take-off. Because of this, 160 passengers on board the flight got upset.
Air India’s Mumbai-bound flight (AI 482) from Ahmedabad was scheduled to take off at 2.55 pm on Friday when 10 flights were canceled due to Cyclone Biparjoy. The 160 passengers on board this flight also reached the airport and after security boarding were sitting in the terminal waiting for the flight, but before the flight took off, the captain informed the ground staff that it would not take off due to a technical fault.
Those passengers were then given a stay in a hotel. The domestic passenger on board the flight was diverted to another flight. Some of them returned home with a full refund as there was no emergency.
