The Gujarat Vidyapith Board of Management approved an annual fee increase of 10% to 12% for its undergraduate, postgraduate, and other courses.
The first time in the Vidyapith history that fees for various courses have been raised,
the decision to raise fess was made after rectifying a calculation error made by the institute in a previous notification.
The new fees for undergraduate courses amount to Rs 5,200 per annum, excluding hostel fees and practical charges, compared to the previous Rs 4,600. For postgraduate courses, the annual fee has been set at Rs 6,200, up from Rs 5,400.
The increased fee structure for other courses includes Rs 6,200 for PG Diploma, Rs 15,950 for MA HRD, Rs 5,950 for PhD without practical fees, and Rs 8,950 with practical fees for subjects like science, physical education, computer, etc.
The Board of Management has also approved a proposal to introduce a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) program starting from the upcoming academic year. Officials mentioned that the course will be offered in Gujarati as well.
