Virat Kohli pens heart touching note for his teammates

Virat Kohli’s dream of winning an IPL title crashed once again on Sunday (May 21) when, during Match No. 70 of the IPL 2023, his IPL franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore, suffered a heartbreaking six-wicket defeat against Gujarat Titans.

Despite posting a total of 197 runs on the board for the loss of five wickets at their home ground, M Chinnaswamy Stadium, RCB failed to defend itThe match against GT was a must- win for RCB in order to secure a place in the playoffs, but Virat’s 101 not out from 61 balls was overshadowed by Shubman Gill’s 104 not out from 52 balls, and GT chased down that required total in 19.1 overs for the loss of just four wickets.

A season which had it's moments but unfortunately we fell short of the goal. Disappointed but we must hold our heads high. To our loyal supporters, grateful for backing us every step of the way. pic.twitter.com/82O4WHJbbn

As a result of RCB’s loss, the Mumbai Indians became the fourth team to qualify for the playoffs, and RCB ended the season by settling at No. 6 in the IPL 2023 points table. For RCB, skipper Faf du Plessis (730 runs), Kohli (639 runs), and Glenn Maxwell (400 runs) fired with the bat but lacked support from others. In the bowling department, only Mohammed Siraj (19 wickets) was able to show some

Virat broke numerous batting records in the IPL this year. He became the first batter to score 7000 runs in the IPL, the first batter to score seven IPL centuries, and the first Indian to score 50 half-centuries, among many others, but the wait for the first IPL title is still on. Two days after RCB’s exit from IPL 2023, Virat took to Twitter to share some pictures from RCB’s IPL 2023 campaign and wrote a heartfelt post. The former RCB and India skipper captioned the photos, “A season which had it’s moments but unfortunately we fell short of the goal. Disappointed but we must hold our heads high. To our loyal supporters, grateful for backing us every step of the way. A big thank you to the coaches, management and my teammates. We aim to be back stronger. @RCBTweets.”
