Virat Kohli’s dream of winning an IPL title crashed once again on Sunday (May 21) when, during Match No. 70 of the IPL 2023, his IPL franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore, suffered a heartbreaking six-wicket defeat against Gujarat Titans.
Despite posting a total of 197 runs on the board for the loss of five wickets at their home ground, M Chinnaswamy Stadium, RCB failed to defend itThe match against GT was a must- win for RCB in order to secure a place in the playoffs, but Virat’s 101 not out from 61 balls was overshadowed by Shubman Gill’s 104 not out from 52 balls, and GT chased down that required total in 19.1 overs for the loss of just four wickets.
