The Gujarat State Transport Corporation (GSRTC) will run more than 1400 additional express bus services as summer break draws near. The state’s various cities, places of worship, tourist hotspots, and interstate destinations will all receive the bus service.
In order to meet demand during the summer vacation, the GSRTC will run the extra buses.
This year, the service will run an additional 1400 express buses connecting the state’s major cities, according to Transport Minister Harsh Sanghavi.
The service typically expands its bus fleet during the summer each year.
He said GSRTC has made arrangements to ensure that vacation travel is smooth, fast and safe for commuters. The additional bus services will operate mainly to and from routes connecting Surat to Saurashtra, Saurashtra to North Gujarat, and South Gujarat to North Gujarat.
The corporation is also working on an inter-state bus service from Gujarat to Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
He said the service will also be available to religious sites in Gujarat such as Ambaji, Somnath, Dwarka, Dakor, Pavagadh, and Girnar, as well as to tourist sites such as the Statue of Unity, Sasan Gir, Saputara, Diu, and Kutch.
With the approaching summer break, the Gujarat State Transport Shirdi, Nashik, and Dhulia in Maharashtra, as well as Mount Abu and Sundha Mata in Rajasthan, will all receive adequate service from the GSRTC.
