Harsh Patel, a student from Ahmedabad who moved to Toronto, Canada, to pursue higher education, was found dead on Monday. Patel was 26 years old.
Patel, who moved to Canada last year, was reported missing by his family a few days ago, and police were alerted to the situation.
However, on Monday, his body was discovered in an unknown location. His passport, credit card and wallet were all gone. The Indian Embassy has been notified by the Canadian authorities, and Harsh’s body is being brought to India.
In yet another incident, a student from Ahmedabad pursuing higher studies in the US, drowned in Lake Monroe on Saturday. His friend, a US citizen of Indian origin, also lost his life in the incident. They were students of Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
The deceased were identified as Aryan Vaidya of Ohio and 19-year-old Siddhant Shah, son of a city-based builder. It is said that both had gone for swimming.
