The phenomenon of melting roads has just begun as a result of the heat. It has been revealed that the Surat Municipality acted with egregious negligence in that the approach road built early in the morning melted, with heat being cited as a contributing factor. The asphalt on the road is melting, disturbing the locals and causing scenes of protracted traffic jams.
The entire incident happened at Adajan in Surat at the end of the Jilani Bridge built on the Tapi River a day ago, a asphalt road was constructed. The asphalt-coated road is then opened up and covered with stone dust. The newly built road’s asphalt began to melt today as a result of the city’s rising temperature. During rush hour traffic, people became stuck as the asphalt layer melted. The municipality temporarily blocked off the road, which caused a backup. Due to the road’s condition in just one day, the lessee’s performance was being questioned.
The Surat Municipality’s Standing Committee Chairman responded swiftly to the incident and arrived on the scene. They were examined, and it was determined that while the asphalt was not melting, this type of incident had occurred because the road was new. Any path must be fully prepared for use after being created, which can take up to 24 hours. Additionally, asphalt must be melted at 45 degrees, which has not yet been recorded in Surat.
