Metro to operate extra hours for IPL and roads will be closed on March 31

The Indian Premier League (IPL) season will begin on March 31. This year, Ahmedabad will host seven IPL matches. The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host seven matches. Ahmedabad police have been put on high alert to ensure that there is no traffic congestion on the road leading to the stadium during the match.

On the day of the match, March 31, the road from Janpath T to Motera will be closed from 2:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. To avoid the traffic problem, an alternate route has been planned. Janpath T will be able to travel hourly from ONGC Circle to Tapovan Circle.

Special precautions have also been taken to ensure that cricket fans who come to watch the game are not inconvenienced by parking. As a result, approximately 20 paid parking lots have been established. Approximately three thousand police officers will be on duty during the game. The police have issued a special warning that parking should not be done on restricted routes.

Metro train timing changes during IPL matches

On days when the match begins at 7.30 p.m., the metro train service will run until 1.30 p.m. to help spectators return home. The gates will open at 3 p.m. for the public to enter the stadium for the first match.
