Amitabh Bachchan, the veteran actor, suffered an injury on the set of his upcoming film, Project K. When the incident occurred, Bachchan was in Hyderabad filming an action sequence for the film. On March 6, the Sholay actor took to his blog to share a health update with his fans, stating that he is currently recuperating at home.
“In Hyderabad, during an action shot for Project K, I was injured rib cartilage popped and broke and a muscle tear to the right rib cage, canceled the shoot, did Doctor consult and scan by CT at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad, and flew back home. Strapping has been done and rest has been advocated. It is painful on movement and breathing will take some weeks they say before some normalisation will occur. Some medication is on also for pain,” Bachchan posted on his blog.
He went on to say, “So all work that was supposed to be done has been suspended, canceled, dropped, and postponed for the time being until healing occurs. I rest at Jalsa and am mobile enough to do all of the necessary activities… but yes, I rest and generally lie around. It will be difficult, if not impossible, to meet the well-wishers at Jalsa Gate this evening. Please do not come. Please inform those who intend to come as much as possible. Everything else is fine.”
Nag Ashwin directs Project K, which is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies. Bachchan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone play the lead roles in the film.
It will be released on 12 January 2024 in three regional languages: Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
