The sixteenth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) schedule was released on Friday, February 17. At the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad, the highly anticipated IPL 2023 will begin on March 31 with a matchup between the defending champion Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings. The championship game is set for May 28 in Ahmedabad.
There will be a total of 70 league games played during the tournament, including 18 doubleheaders. IPL 2023 will take place in 12 different locations. This season, two additional venues—Dharamsala and Guwahati—will host a few games in addition to each franchise’s 10 existing locations. With each team playing seven games at home and seven away, the tournament’s well-known home and away format is back.

There will only be one game on the opening day of IPL 2023, with Gujarat Titans facing off against the formidable Chennai Super Kings. After missing the playoffs the previous season, CSK will be eager to get the season off to a strong start.

On April 1, the first double header day of IPL 2023 will get underway. In the first game of the day, Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders will open their respective campaigns by locking horns against each other. It will be followed by a clash between Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals.
On April 2, the remaining teams will also open their campaigns. Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Rajasthan Royals in the first game of the day before Royal Challengers Bangalore will play against Mumbai Indians. So all the ten teams will be in action inside the first 3 days of IPL 2023.
