According to airport sources, a passenger on a SpiceJet flight from Dubai to Ahmedabad was caught smoking. At the airport police station, a FIR was filed against the Rajasthan resident for endangering the lives of other passengers.
“Prakash Gohil, the security duty manager of SpiceJet Airline at Ahmedabad international airport, was informed on Monday night by captain Pratik and cabin crew Jayshree Deb of flight SG 16 that passenger Hemin Rawal was found smoking a cigarette in the toilet,” according to information.
As a result, airport police were notified after the flight landed at Ahmedabad airport.
When the airport police arrived, they questioned the passenger, who stated that he was staying at a Vadodara guesthouse and was originally from Banswada in Rajasthan.
Airport police charged Rawal with endangering the lives of other passengers, arrested him, and initiated further proceedings.
