According to police, two people were killed and two others were injured when their car collided with a road divider on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway on Friday. As per reports, the family was from Prabhadevi.
On Thursday morning, the accident occurred near Sakwar village in Maharashtra’s Palghar district.
According to Mandvi police station senior inspector Prafulla Wagh, the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle. The injured were taken to a hospital for treatment.
The car was speeding, according to witnesses. This is the year’s third major highway accident. The administration implemented speed-control measures following the death of former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry last year.
