As per the police officials, an 11-year-old boy died after coming into contact with an electric fence in the Anand district.
The victim’s father, Pravin Thakor, told the Bhadran Police that his son Anil had gone to pick berries from the field on Wednesday evening. While crossing Ramesh Patel’s farm, he came into contact with a live wire installed to protect the banana crop from cattle. Anil passed away on the spot.”
According to a Bhadran police officer, the body has been sent for a post-mortem and an accidental death case has been filed. If farm owner Rameshbhai’s negligence is discovered during the investigation, he will face severe punishment. Electric fencing is installed by farmers to keep wild animals and other cattle from destroying crops.
