The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which is famous for the Amul brand, has raised milk prices by 3 per litre across the board. “We would like to inform you that the price of Amul pouch milk (all variants) has been revised upwards with effect from February 2, 2023 night dispatch (February 3, 2023 morning),” said the GMCCF in a statement.
Following the revision, Amul Gold will cost Rs 66 per litre, Amul Taaza will cost Rs 54 per litre, Amul cow milk will cost Rs 56 per litre, and Amul A2 buffalo milk will cost Rs 70 per litre.
The GCMMF last raised the prices of Amul Gold (full cream) and buffalo milk by 2 per litre across all markets except Gujarat in October.
Amul Gold’s price has increased from Rs 61 to Rs 63 per litre, while the 500 ml pack now costs Rs 32, which was Rs 31 previously. Buffalo milk prices were raised from Rs 63 to Rs 65 per litre.
Following Amul’s decision, Mother Dairy announced a Rs 2 per litre increase in full-cream milk and cow milk prices in Delhi-NCR and some other North Indian markets beginning October 16.
