From February 2023, the user development fee (UDF) at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport will be increased.
Simultaneously, the landing and take-off charges of the tariffs collected from the airline will rise, affecting ticket prices for passengers. As a result, tickets to and from Ahmedabad airport will become more expensive, according to sources.
Airport sources said, “The UDF for domestic, international passengers from Ahmedabad airport is going to rise from February 1. As of now, the UDF for domestic and international passengers is Rs 100. However, this will soon rise to Rs 250 (domestic) and Rs 550 (international). The period for this change will be from February 1, 2023 to March 3, 2024.”
He said, “This UDF will then be extended from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025 and further increased to Rs 450 (domestic) and Rs 880 (int’l). Thereafter, in a phased manner, UDF Rs 600 (domestic) and Rs 1,190 (international) will be charged; in which additional tax charges will also be added.”
