The Border Security Force (BSF) has begun a seven-day “Ops Alert” exercise along the Indo-Pak international border from Sir Creek in Gujarat to Barmer district in Rajasthan in anticipation of the upcoming Republic Day celebrations, according to an official release in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
Ops Alert is a training exercise that started on January 21 and will last until January 28. Special operations would be carried out during this exercise in the Creek and Harami Nala, as well as in the forward and depth zones. Additionally, during this time, public outreach programmes have been planned, the release stated.
