Post approval of two more skyscrapers, Ahmedabad’s skyline will soon have a regal appearance. The 145-meter and 138.95-meter tall buildings on the SG highway are said to have received approval from the state urban development department.
The 142-metre high Titanium World Tower will have 42 floors and will come up in Bodakdev area TP51 FP-4/86. It will be a commercial building with 309 units.
The 138.95 metre Mondeal Towers will have ground plus 35 floors and will also come up in Bodakdev area, in TP 50 FP117.
With this the number of skyscrapers in the state will touch 10.
In Ahmedabad, there are two that have received approval. The first is near Science City, while the second is on the S G highway. According to a senior member of the state urban development department, the S G highway is quickly developing into the city’s commercial centre. Giving approval to skyscrapers is not hampered by the distance from the international airport.
The city skyline is already dotted with a number of 70-meter-tall homes and businesses, but some upcoming projects will be nearly twice as tall. In five cities—Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, and Gandhinagar—the state government has enacted special regulations for skyscrapers. In Surat, a 105.30-meter-tall structure with 27 floors will soon be constructed.
The building will house administrative staff of the state and central government. It will be the tallest government building in the state.
