According to a press release from the Gotri police station, the incident happened on Wednesday at around 8 p.m. when the suspect, whose name has been withheld, arrived in the parking lot outside the BPC Road crockery store.
In Vadodara, one person was detained for allegedly ramming her car into a pottery shop on Wednesday evening.
Despite the fact that no one was hurt, the owner of the crockery store has sued the female driver of the car for damages.
The car allegedly jumped up the five steps at the entrance after the accused unintentionally applied the accelerator, crashing into the glass facade and the display shelves holding delicate crockery items.
Based on the store owner’s complaint, the Gotri police station has opened an investigation into the matter. The woman has been charged with reckless and careless driving under Indian Penal Code Section 279 and the pertinent provisions of the Motor Vehicle Act. According to a senior police officer from the city, the shop owner has also demanded lakhs in damages from the accused woman.
