On the fourth and final day of the Ranji Trophy Elite Group D match in Ahmedabad on Friday, Gujarat defeated Chandigarh by an innings and 87 runs.
Chandigarh were bowled out for 205 in 75.3 overs after resuming at 46 for 2 and trailing by 246 runs.
The highest scorer was Jagjit Singh Sandhu, who batted at no. 10 scored 46 runs (42 balls, 6 fours, 3 sixes).
Gujarat’s best bowler was left-arm spinner Hardik Patel, who took four wickets.
Gujarat had earlier declared at 596 for 4, riding on captain Priyank Panchal’s superb double century after Chandigarh had made 304 in the first innings.
