In the village of Mordevi in Gujarat’s Tapi district, three family members died on wednesday after coming into contact with an electrified fence surrounding their farm and becoming electrocuted, according to police. Devram Chaudhary, who lived on his farm, discovered that pigs were destroying standing crops, so he erected an electrified iron fence to protect his crops, Valod Police Inspector N.J. Panchal told the media.
But as he was watering the plants, he unintentionally touched a live wire and yelled for help. Because water had spread throughout the field as his wife Krishna rushed to help him, she too was electrocuted. When their son Dhirubhai ran to help his parents, he too was electrocuted. They all passed away instantly. Manisha, the daughter, also made an effort to save her parents and brother, but she was fortunate to make a miraculous getaway. Police have launched an investigation into an accidental death after receiving complaint.
