As per NIRF 2022 ranking, top 10 MBA colleges in India are:
IIM Ahmedabad is number 1 management college in India with score of 83.35. By supporting excellent research, distinctive & effective teaching and significant contributions to knowledge creation across a range of disciplines, the Institute focuses on promoting excellence in scholarship.
IIM Bangalore is ranked second overall with a score of 82.62. Around 1,200 students are enrolled in a variety of degree-granting programmes at IIMB and nearly 5,000 people take part in Executive Education each year. There are 104 full-time faculty members.
IIM Calcutta ranks third among the top 10 management schools with a score of 78.64. One of India’s top 3 business schools is IIM Calcutta. It was founded in 1961 in association with the Ford Foundation, Government of West Bengal, Sloan School of Management (MIT) and with the help and support of the Indian business community.
The only IIT listed among the top 5 is IIT Delhi. It has a score of 75.10 in the NIRF ranking 2022. An idea that was first floated in 1963 has evolved into the Department of Management Studies at IIT Delhi.
IIM Kozhikode has a score of 74.74 placing it in 5th place overall. The institute was founded in 1996 by the Indian government and the Keralan state government.
IIM Lucknow is ranked sixth among the top 10 management colleges with a score of 74.55. After IIM Calcutta, IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore, the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow is the fourth member of the prestigious IIM family of management schools to be founded in India. The first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, had the idea and took the first step towards establishing the IIMs.
IIM Indore is ranked seventh with score of 70.66. The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India established the Indian Institute of Management Indore as an Institution of Excellence with the goals of providing top-notch management education and training.
XLRI, one of India’s top management institution, is ranked number 8 with a score of 69.67. The Jamshedpur-based XLRI provides virtual and part-time interactive learning courses in addition to full-time management programmes.
National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) is in ninth place with score of 68.84. NITIE is a public management institute situated in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It was founded in 1963.
IIT Madras comes in last on the list of top 10 management colleges. It has a score of 66.60 in the NIRF ranking 2022. In order to accommodate the well-liked Master in Business Administration course, which has been taught since 2001 and currently has the most management research scholars in India, the Department of Management Studies at IIT Madras was founded in 2004.
