Kaushal Pipaliya, Gujarat state champion wrestler, has admitted to assaulting over 100 women. On Saturday, December 3, wrestler suspected of abusing a yoga instructor was apprehended. When the abuse of 100 womens was revealed, even the police were taken aback.
Kaushal Pipaliya, 24, won gold medal in the 74 kg freestyle category in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. His name came up during the 10-day investigation into the molestation of a yoga teacher. The victim reported a crime to the Malviya Nagar police station on November 23.
The victim stated in her report that there was a person sitting in the parking lot where she had left her scooter. When she tried to close the escalator door to get to the elevator, accused Kaushal stopped her. The accused then began making lewd gestures at the woman while removing his pants. After she scolded him, he attempted to physically assault her.
He slapped her while attempting to choke her. When the girl began to yell, he fled. According to Malviyanagar Police Inspector Ain Sawaliya, Pipliya admitted to sexually assaulting nearly 100 women. However, out of shame, the victims have refrained from coming forward and filing complaints against him.
According to the police, Pipaliya always wore a mask to conceal his identity when abusing women. Police assembled four surveillance teams to track down this suspect. Police investigated nearby cameras. The suspect was identified after a thorough examination of CCTV footage captured by 1500 cameras strategically placed near malls, stores, upscale homes, and other public places.
