According to sources, the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) conducted raids at up to 150 locations across the state on November 11.
According to information, the raids were conducted in collaboration with Gujarat GST in districts such as Surat, Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Bharuch, and Bhavnagar to investigate tax evasion and money laundering on international routes.
Earlier, on October 22, the Gujarat ATS exposed this bogus international racket and arrested four people from Ahmedabad’s new Naroda area for issuing forged passports and visas to Canadians.
This comes as the state prepares for the upcoming Assembly elections, which are scheduled to take place in two phases on December 1 and December 5, with counting on December 8. Of the 182 Legislative Assembly seats, 89 will be voted on in the first phase and 93 in the second.
