On November 19, “Rakshak – Ek Shaam Gujarat Police Ke Naam,” a programme dedicated to Gujarat police, will be held at the Karnavati Club in Ahmedabad. It is the first time in Gujarat that such a programme has been organised specifically for police officers.
The famous Himachal Pradesh Police band “Harmony of the Pines” will perform at the event. More than 20 well-known artists from the Gujarati film industry and Bollywood will perform at the spectacular event to honour the efforts and selfless service of Gujarat police personnel. The event will also promote the Gujarati film industry.
Shree Sai Women and Children Welfare Trust organised the special programme with the help of the Gujarat Youth and Cultural Activities Ministry and the Gujarat Home Ministry. The programme has covered all thirty-three districts and four police commissionerates in Gujarat. At the event, police officers from all districts and commissionerates will be honoured with medals and certificates in recognition of their outstanding service and efforts.
The event’s committee chairman is Narasimha Kumar (IPS), Additional Director General of Police (Law & Order). The committee members are Deputy IGP Parikshita Rathod (IPS), Superintendent of Police Neeraj Badgujar (IPS), Superintendent of Police Virendra Singh Yadav (IPS), and Staff Officer GG Jasani.
