Gujarat is predicted to have rain in the upcoming days because the Southwest monsoon hasn’t quite left the state, according to representatives of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The monsoon was active over Gujarat on Friday, bringing substantial rainfall to the 94 talukas that recorded rainfall, including Dang, Surat, Kheda, Amreli, Mahisagar, Anand, and Sabarkantha.
Light to moderate rain is expected across the state through October 11, according to the weather department’s forecast.

“The withdrawal of southwest monsoon from the state is not complete. Central and South parts of the state are likely to receive good rainfall till October 11,” IMD regional director Manorama Mohanty.
For Saturday, heavy rains in the districts of South Gujarat region namely Bharuch and Surat are expected, stated the weather department.
Heavy downpours are predicted to occur at a few isolated locations in the South Gujarat districts of Bharuch and Surat on October 9 and in the North Gujarat districts of Aravalli and Mahisagar on October 10.
