The third Vande Bharat train will undergo its final trial on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai route next week. The final trial, also known as the Time Table trial, will be held by the Indian Railways for two days beginning September 7.
During the trial run, the Vande Bharat train’s rakes will be filled with sandbags.
According to sources, it will be handed over to the Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety (CCRS) for safety clearance, which is required before any new train can be commercially operated.
The train will be launched on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route once it has received approval.
In India, there are currently two Vande Bharat trains in operation. One runs from Delhi to Katra, while the other runs from Delhi to Varanasi.
