The Gujarat government will get nine renewable energy awards.The Association of Renewable Energy Agencies of States (AREAS) will be felicitating Gujarat’s with the following awards.
Gujarat Energy Development Agency achieved the second highest renewable energy installed capacity, highest wind power installed capacity, highest renewable energy generation, highest solar power capacity addition, and highest wind power capacity during 2021-22. (GEDA).
In addition, Gujarat will receive awards for achieving second highest rooftop solar power installed capacity during 2021-22 by Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Limited (MGVCL) and for achieving second highest transmission capacity and transmission lines installed for renewable power during 2021- 22 by Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited.
Bhagwanth Khuba, Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy and Chemicals and Fertilisers, will distribute these awards on Saturday.
