Ahmedabad-Bhopal flight of IndiGo Airlines had to return from Bhopal after reaching there with 50 passengers due to bad weather. According to airport sources, travellers had difficulties after the flight was cancelled on Monday night.
Due to heavy rains, bad weather and low visibility in monsoon, flight schedules of airline companies are constantly getting disrupted of late.
The Ahmedabad-Bhopal flight of Indigo Airlines took off for Bhopal at 2.30 pm on Monday and reached Bhopal at 3.15 pm. But at that time, a yellow alert was announced at the airport in Bhopal due to heavy rain.
The aircraft had to fly over the airport for some time, but the ATC did not allow the flight to land at Bhopal airport due to low visibility.
Finally, the flight returned to Ahmedabad after 10 to 15 minutes of flying over Bhopal. After landing at the airport, the passengers had an altercation with the staff of the airline company.
Ultimately, all passengers were rescheduled on Tuesday’s flight of the airline. Also, a flight from Bhopal to Ahmedabad had to be cancelled at around 6.30 pm on Monday due to bad weather and heavy rain. All passengers travelling to Ahmedabad were stranded in Bhopal.
