Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail project is a 508.17 kilometer High-Speed Rail line which is currently under construction. It will connect Mumbai with Ahmedabad, through 12 stations at an estimated cost of ₹1.1 lakh crore.
The project is being executed by the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Ltd.
The concerned authorities have acquired over 90% of the land required for the project. Other than this, 162 kilometers of piling work, and 79.2 kilometers of pier work have been completed.
Notably, the project is being funded by a 50-year ₹88,087 crore loan from Japan at an interest rate of 0.1%, with repayments scheduled to start 15 years after the line becomes operational.
