The Nairobi-Mumbai flight lands in Ahmedabad

Nairobi-Mumbai flight was forced to divert to Ahmedabad due to heavy rain and bad weather in Mumbai. After 3.5 hours, the flight was given the all-clear to depart for Mumbai, according to airport officials at Ahmedabad.

From Nairobi to Mumbai, Kenya Airways flight KQ-202 was travelling. However, the flight was diverted to Ahmedabad early on Tuesday because Mumbai ATC did not approve the landing due to bad weather in Mumbai.

There flight with 170 passengers landed at Ahmedabad airport around 4.30 am. The passengers were provided refreshments in the flight during its halt at Ahmedabad airport for 3.5 hours. The flight left for Mumbai at 7.30am after getting clearance.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday night, a Delhi-bound Indigo flight was delayed by around an hour owing to a technical snag that was detected by the pilot just before the flight was to take-off from Ahmedabad airport.

The flight with 176 passengers was supposed to take-off from Ahmedabad airport at 8pm. But just before the take-off, the pilot sensed something was amiss. Upon checking a technical fault was found in the aircraft. Even as the aircraft was being checked, a Mumbai-Ahmedabad aircraft landed. The passengers of the Delhi flight were asked to board this aircraft and after an hour, the aircraft flew for Delhi.
